Join QueerCME’s upcoming November live training session, "Transcending Fear: Cultivating and Celebrating Gender Euphoria in Gender Affirming Care." This transformative workshop will be led by experts Cassidy Dallas (they/he), MSW, LICSW, and Dr. Will Cole (he/they), MPH, PhD, whose personal experiences and professional insights challenge the fear-based narratives that often surround gender affirming care (GAC).

Shifting GAC from Fear to Joy

The current discourse around gender affirming care is saturated with fear and risk, often leaving both providers and patients with trepidation. Cassidy and Dr. Cole aim to transform this narrative, presenting a new paradigm that highlights GAC as a path to joy and empowerment. By bringing together insights from social work, public health, history, and sociology, this workshop challenges the medicalization and pathologization of trans identities, proposing a model that honors the euphoria of gender-affirming care.

Meet Our Expert Speakers

Cassidy Dallas, MSW, LICSW (they/he)
Cassidy is a renowned psychotherapist and advocate specializing in LGBTQIA+ mental health and gender-affirming care. With a private practice and extensive clinical background, they bring compassion, empathy, and first-hand experience as a queer, trans, nonbinary, and neurodivergent individual to their work. Cassidy’s sessions focus on empowering clients to build joyful, meaningful lives through trauma-informed, individualized care.

Dr. Will Cole, MPH, PhD (he/they)
A trans man with expertise in public health and LGBTQIA+ health, Dr. Cole is a professor, researcher, and the founder of Queery Research Consulting. His interdisciplinary approach draws on his international work with major health organizations and a career dedicated to advancing social justice in healthcare. Dr. Cole is passionate about amplifying trans voices and creating frameworks that center joy, resilience, and community well-being.
