Justice Roe Williams: Redefining Fitness and Affirming Care for TGD Communities

Jan 20, 2025

At QueerCME, we know that achieving health equity for transgender and gender diverse (TGD) individuals requires more than excellent medical care—it means reimagining the systems that shape every aspect of our lives, including fitness and wellness. That’s why we’re honored to celebrate and promote the incredible work of Justice Roe Williams, an innovator who is changing the face of fitness and advocating for TGD inclusion in healthcare and beyond.

Who Is Justice Roe Williams?

Justice Roe Williams (he/him) is a trailblazing fitness coach, educator, and advocate dedicated to creating inclusive spaces that celebrate and affirm all bodies. As the founder of Fitness for All Bodies, Justice works to challenge the oppressive norms of the fitness industry, centering the experiences of TGD individuals and people of color in everything he does.

With a unique background that bridges fitness, public health, and social justice, Justice has partnered with leading organizations like Fenway Health, where he’s contributed to initiatives advancing care and representation for TGD communities. His work emphasizes the intersections of race, gender, and body size, showing us that true inclusion goes far beyond token gestures.

Why Justice’s Work Matters in Healthcare

Healthcare and fitness often fail to serve TGD people equitably. Many TGD patients report discrimination, lack of cultural humility, and harm rooted in systemic bias. Justice’s work reminds us that wellness spaces—whether gyms, clinics, or exam rooms—must be transformed into affirming environments where all patients feel safe and empowered.

By challenging fatphobia, cisnormativity, and white supremacy, Justice is creating a fitness model that prioritizes:

  • Radical Body Autonomy: A philosophy QueerCME shares, centered on the belief that individuals—not systems—are the ultimate decision-makers about their bodies.
  • Intersectional Advocacy: Justice’s work highlights how systemic oppression impacts health outcomes, showing us the importance of addressing these inequities.
  • Accessible Movement: Through his workshops and trainings, Justice provides tools to make fitness spaces inclusive for people of all sizes, abilities, and genders.
